Engine 402
Engine 402 is our first-out apparatus for most of the calls we respond to. Engine 402 is equipped to handle most calls for service we receive, including fire suppression, motor vehicle accidents, or other miscellaneous fire calls. Engine 402 is equipped with 1,000 gallons of water, with a 1,500 GPM pump. It also has a light tower recessed at the top of the apparatus, allowing us ample light source during evening or dark hours.
Tanker 406
Tanker 406 is a 2023 Spartan. It is a near twin of Engine 402, as both apparatus were purchased at the same time. Tanker 406 is second due to structure fires, and is our primary tanker for response. This apparatus is also our primary response vehicle for mutual aid calls, as it can sit 4 people, but also carries the same 3,000 gallons that Tanker 404 carries.
Rescue 405
Rescue 405 is a 2007 Freightliner M2. For years, this apparatus served as our first-out for motor vehicle accidents. Now, Engine 402 serves as first out for motor vehicle accidents, so this apparatus is now our second out. This apparatus has a plethora of rescue equipment on it, ranging from backboards and stokes baskets, to hydraulic cutters and spreaders. Rescue 405 also has a cascade system in it, allowing our department to refill our air bottles on scenes.
Brush 401
Brush 401 is our first-out apparatus for any field or grass fires. It is a 2012 Ford F550.
Tanker 404
Tanker 404 is a 1987 Ford L9000, and is our oldest vehicle in our fleet. Wea Fire has a variety of response area, ranging from densely populated and hydrated, to rural and no hydrants. It’s for these reasons we have Tanker 404, which provides us with 3,000 gallons of water ready to roll to scenes where more water is needed.
Tanker 404 can also operate as a pump, as it does have a 500 GPM pump.
Rescue 407
Rescue 407 is a 2023 Ford F350 Crew Cab 4×4. This vehicle currently serves as our first-out for EMS assist calls. This vehicle is equipped for BLS (Basic Life Support) non-transport. This apparatus is used to respond along with Tippecanoe Emergency Ambulance Service (TEAS) to patients who call 911 for illness or injury. This apparatus can also serve as a command vehicle as needed. It is equipped with four SCBA packs, hand lighting, and some light power tools.
